The Perfect Job

Think about this for a minute.

You have been working in the CHCH quake zone, either manning cordons (yawn), or recovering bodies (yuck). Then word comes they need to recover vehicles from car parks. Like hundreds left as they were on Feb 22nd as the city evacuated, or when car parks were locked down within the Red Zone.

Now imagine this. You have a car park full of cars. They are not yours – there are big ones, small ones, fast ones, slow ones, even a slick fancy hotted up red one with fat tyres on the top floor. There is no upward traffic, only you going down. There is no-one there to tell you off and no one to get in the way. If you crash, there is always the fall back of ‘earthquake damage’.

Can you imagine that? It would be like a deleted scene from ‘The Italian Job’. I reckon I’d try and get my hands on the slick fancy hotted up red one with fat tyres on the top floor!
