I’ve not posted a lot of late, but I figure the wedding just edited for Paddy and Val is well worthy of a mention.
In just over twenty years of weddings, I have to say top job to these guys, for creating one of the more distinct and memorable events I have ever had the pleasure of attending.
The location (up amongst the bush near Arthurs Pass), was matched with the rich love and energy of close friends and family all camping on site. We didn’t have a back up plan (which normally worries me immensely, especially facing the uncertainty of conditions in the high country!), rather faith it would all come together, and a resolve to make it all work regardless. As it turned out, conditions were perfect, with light rain turning up just as speeches had wrapped up!
The result was one of the most unique and noteworthy weddings I have experienced. From a barefoot Paddy, tattooing rings, handcrafted matagouri wood keepsakes, Adam McGrath from The Eastern performing, to the bride and groom catering. The result was the earthy, magical beauty you see here before you.
I came away invigorated and inspired with your positivity and zest for life. Thank you.
